Crafts Council of Ireland to Host Event for Local Craftspeople

The Board of Directors of the Crafts Council of Ireland (CCoI) will host a Regional Networking Event for local craftspeople at The Boyne Valley Hotel in Drogheda on Wednesday 29th April at 6.30pm.
The initiative is part of a series of networking events being hosted throughout the country during 2009 to create opportunities for dialogue between CCoI and craft enterprises, craft networks and key stakeholders in the regions. Craftspeople of all disciplines, current and prospective retailers of crafted design, owners of galleries/art centres and anyone involved in supporting and promoting craft enterprises are invited to attend.
A welcome reception where attendees can learn about CCoI services and meet board members will precede a presentation by Úna Parsons, CEO, Crafts Council of Ireland and will be followed by an open discussion chaired by Gerry Wycherley, Chairman, CCoI and some light refreshments.
“We are encouraging local craftspeople, craft retailers, gallery owners and anyone involved in promoting craft enterprise to attend and share with us their views on craft in Ireland and in the Northeast in particular”, commented Úna Parsons, CEO, Crafts Council of Ireland.
