2012 saw the continued partnership agreement with the RDS National Craft Competition. In addition to the agreed sponsorship fund, a purchase prize of €5,000 was allocated towards recognising excellent in Irish Craft. The craft disciplines selected included blacksmithing, silversmithing, woodturing and súgan. The 2012 selected winners are:
Michael Calnan - Blacksmithing €1,200 (Sculptural Bull)
Seamus Gill - Silversmithing €2,200 (Vase with removable stem)
Roger Bennett - Woodturning €1,200 (Bowl with inlay)
Pádraig Larkin - Súgan (rope) €400 (Moses basket)
