Kildare based company Dunleavy Bespoke was established in 2009 by brothers Tim and Seán Dunleavy. They specialise in the design and manufacture of unique furniture made to commission, where a meticulous attention to detail is observed at all times.
The Dunleavys work with the client from the initial stage to form a close collaboration thus ensuring the client’s influence is inherent in the finished product as well as reflecting the Dunleavy’s own style. This client involvement results in a highly personalised finished piece of work which the brothers describe as representing contemporary craftsmanship with a youthful approach.
Dunleavy Bespoke’s current body of work displays their free flowing style which combines organic, elegant forms with clean, crisp, lines and sensuous surface finishes.
Harmonising traditional cabinetmaking techniques with modern processes, the brothers create timeless pieces which can be enjoyed by both the client and future generations.
Their work was shown as part of Cream of Irish Design at the Interior Design and Art Fair, Royal Dublin Society, Dublin, Ireland in 2010, and received the Crafts Council of Ireland Craftsmanship Award at Showcase Ireland, 2010.
