DIAMOND GRADING COURSE

Diamond GradingDate: April 12th - 18th
(5 days training, 1 day exam)
Course Tutor: Kate Hopley
Course Times: 9.30am - 5.00pm
12th – 14th and 16th – 18th
Exam 10am – 1pm 18th April
Course Fees: €1,200 inclusive of exam fee
Exam Fee: €550 to the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem*A)
Participants: 7 max
Venue: Crafts Council of Ireland, Kilkenny



No prior diamond grading knowledge necessary.

This course follows the Diamond Practical Certificate Course Programme, as set out by the Gemmological Association of Great Britain (Gem*A). This course is the practical component of the Gem*A Gem Diamond Diploma Course. During the course you will cover all practical aspects of grading a diamond as recognised within the trade. On the final day a three hour practical examination is set which will be marked by Gem*A examiners. On successful completion of the exam you will receive a professional certificate from the Gem*A which is world recognised.

The Crafts Council of Ireland is the only organisation offering this certification in Ireland.

Kate Hopley is a Fellow of the Gem*A (FGA) and is a holder of the Diamond Diploma (DGA) and is a Gemmologist Graduate (GG) Diploma with the Gemmological Institute of America. Kate specialises in the training of students to FGA and DGA level.
