Irish Craft Portfolio Book

ICPIrish Craft Portfolio: Critical Selection 2013-2014 publication was launched at the opening of Future Beauty? in the National Craft Gallery on 25th January. The publication features 26 makers who were selected by an international expert panel as being at the leading edge of contemporary craft in a world-class context. Contemporary Irish KnitsCarol Feller's book brings aran knitting into the 21st century with 18 knitting patterns based on yarns from the three remaining Irish woollen Mills: Kerry Woolen Mills, Cushendale Woollen Mills and Donegal Yarns. The book also gives a history of aran knitting as well as profiles on the three mills and features two independent dye companies: Dublin Dye Company and Hedgehog Fibres.
