MAST is a dedicated support service for Irish market and event traders. Membership of MAST provides €8 million Public Liability Indemnity cover plus a host of extras. Multi-location membership of MAST provides cover for trading opportunities anywhere within the EU.
The Market Traders Handbook
Last year, MAST collaborated with The Food Safety Association of Ireland (FSAI), Bank of Ireland and Irish Village Markets in the production of The Market Traders Handbook. The FSAI wrote their section, MAST wrote the rest under guidance from their insurers.
A substantial portion of the booklet relates to food vendors, however the section that deals with Public Liability Insurance requirements may be of interest to craftspeole who wish to trade at markets or fairs where the organisers insist that each trader has individual liability cover.
