The Crafts Council of Ireland are recruiting for a Communications & Marketing Manager for maternity leave cover.  Reporting to the Head of Public Affairs & Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management, development and delivery of the company’s key communications projects, publications and media-tools as well as providing ongoing project support to the Head of Process Team in the ongoing departmental activities including PR, marketing, branding and research.

The Co-ordinator of the CCoI Member Organisations is a contract position that will perform professional and administrative work to advance the goals of the Crafts Council of Ireland’s 2011 Year of Craft and to carry out specific activities.  This position co-ordinates and supports the communication of the activities of member organisations around the 2011 Year of Craft.  The selected candidate will report to the Year of Craft Project Manager for the first eight months of the project and thereafter to the Head of Operations.  The position is for a 16 month period.

The CRAFTed – learning skills for life programme is designed to build skills, develop competencies and provide resources that support creative learning for teachers, their students and craftspeople.

The CCoI Irish Craft Bursary is awarded to professional craftspeople to support the creative development of their craft to enable new opportunities in their practice.

Irish Craft Portfolio was established to ‘promote the work of individuals showing excellence in craftsmanship at an international level’. 

Since its establishment it has represented the work of an  increasing number of craftspeople who aim to produce high quality  limited edition and one off craftwork for the commissioning and gallery market. There are currently over forty craftspeople represented by the initiative.
