We are inviting you to the Ideate Festival in July
Dear Craftsperson, This year the Crafts Council of Ireland is marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the visionary Kilkenny Design Workshops (KDW). Together with our partners, Fáilte Ireland and Kilkenny County Council and with support funding from the Gathering/IPB fund, we want to put Ireland firmly on the international map for its traditional and contemporary craft practices.
With your help we aim to bring as many craft and design lovers, who currently live overseas, back to Kilkenny this July. We are organising and hosting a craft and design festival, IDEATE, in and around the medieval city of Kilkenny on the 5th and 6th of July. This multi-disciplinary mini-festival is about the joy of making – exploring and celebrating craft, design and creativity through experimentation and collaboration. IDEATE festival is a live platform for imagining future potential for craft and design, and we would like you to be a part of it.
