The International Film Festival on Clay and Glass, created by Ateliers d'Art de France in 1998, is becoming the International Film Festival on Crafts in 2014!

This new format will feature around 40 films from all over the world and reveal the immense diversity of techniques used in the craft professions: clay, glass, wood, metal, leather, textiles, paper and many others besides... Numerous themes may be covered: profiles of artists and crafts workers, techniques, architecture, heritage, archaeology, ethnology, performance etc. 

The Cumberland Pencil Company is delighted to announce their inaugural Derwent Art Prize.

The aim of the Prize is to reward excellence through showcasing the very best international works created in pencil.

It is an open submission opportunity for British and international artists, offering prizes of up to £8,750.

The initiative provides grants to small limited companies to help them explore new business opportunities or solve problems that hinder the growth of their business. It creates links between small businesses and Ireland’s public knowledge providers in order to produce new ideas and stimulate the business community. Applications can be made by any small limited company. Those that are successful will receive an Innovation Voucher worth €5 000, which can be exchanged for advice and expertise from experienced knowledge providers. Enterprise Ireland has also recently announced that it has joined forces with Invest Northern Ireland in order for the scheme to run in Northern Ireland as well. This will allow voucher holders access to ten more Knowledge Providers in Northern Ireland.
